Nordic Culture Festival at HSUHK – Innovations from Sweden and Nordic Countries
The School of Translation of the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) hosts the “Nordic Culture Festival” from October to November 2019. The series of events showcase the kaleidoscopic culture of Scandinavia and encourage cultural interaction through an array of activities, including performances, public lectures by Consuls General, and arts and cultural programmes.
The sharing session “Innovations from Sweden and Nordic Countries” was the second event of the Festival. Ms Binh Johansson, Community Director of Nordic Innovation House Hong Kong (NIHHK), shared with participants stories of the strong brands and innovations from Nordic countries. She also introduced how NIHHK helped create a platform for Nordic startups to establish connections and find collaborations in Hong Kong. Mr Claes Radojewski, representative from the Swedish startup accelerator “MobilityXlab”, joined the talk to exemplify how an accelerator works. The speakers offered a glimpse into the culture and character of Sweden, which make it one of the most innovative countries in the world.
