Online Talk: Law and/or Language?

Dr Cheung King Man, Lecturer of the School of Translation, delivered an online talk titled “Law and/or Language?” on 17 July 2020. As an expert translator and interpreter for legal industry in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Dr Cheung introduced the characteristics of laws in Hong Kong with simple but profound words and explained the difficulties and solutions in the challenging translation tasks. The career prospect of legal translator and interpreter was mentioned in the talk. Dr Cheung encouraged students who are interested in joining the profession to equip themselves.
