The School of Translation and Foreign Languages at HSUHK equips its graduates with the skills and experience to excel in a broad range of professional fields. Bachelor of Translation with Business (BTB) graduates are in a strong position to enter sectors such as translation and localisation, finance, public relations, media, marketing and public services, drawing on their strengths in bilingual communication, their business acumen and their technological and cultural competence. Many pursue further study in Hong Kong and overseas to enhance their prospects.

For taught postgraduate students, the MA in Translation (Business and Legal) (MA-TBL) trains graduates for specialised careers in business and legal translation, professional writing and corporate communication. Meanwhile, the MA in Translation (Computer-Aided Translation) (MA-TCAT) prepares students for various roles, including translation technology specialists, project managers, terminologists and localisation professionals. Employers include translation houses, language service providers, banks, multinational firms, consulting companies, software companies and government agencies.

Students benefit from a strong focus on employability, with internships, modules on professionalism and translation management, and entrepreneurial support through the Business Translation Centre. This cohesive approach ensures that our graduates are not only language specialists but also versatile professionals ready for the demands of a globalised, digital workplace.
