Module Description
This module teaches students how to use computers effectively in the translation of business writings. Students have hands-on experience in using the state-of-the-art computer/ computer-aided systems to do their translations.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- demonstrate some knowledge and skills in using computer (-aided) translation systems;
- evaluate different translation systems by the essential knowledge;
- apply their knowledge to the translation of business documents;
- understand the problems relating to computer translation of commercial texts and their corresponding solution; and
- acquire additional knowledge in computing.
